When does the spring Lacrosse season start?

Registration for the 2020 season opens January 8th. Registration will be opened for 30 days.
Regular season game play begins February 15th and runs through April 25th.

How much does it cost to play?

The cost is $150 per player, some scholarships are available. Please contact us if the cost is prohibitive. You can also email fayarlax@gmail.com.

Is there a refund policy?

There is no refund policy at this time.

Cancelations

If a practice or game is canceled or delayed due to weather or a change in field availability emails will be sent from the team app account. It is the players responsibility to provide an accurate email and phone number. Refunds will not be provided for canceled games or practices. All attempts to reschedule will be made and players will be notified as soon as information is available.

Are there scholarships available?

Fayetteville Lacrosse Club believes that every player who is interested should have the opportunity to play lacrosse regardless of financial circumstances. We will make our best effort to offer financial assistance to players in need and have set aside funds for that purpose. Requests may be directed in confidence, please email fayarlax@gmail.com.

Fayetteville Lacrosse Fundraising

Every player is required to participate in fundraising which may be, but not limited to, mail solicitation, email solicitation, personal solicitation, phone solicitation and special events. For board members this may include foundation grant solicitation, website campaigns and receiving donations from other organizations. Fayetteville Lacrosse Club reserves the right to designate the appropriation of these funds as needed to support the organization and/or its players.

Who provides the necessary equipment?

Players are responsible for practice gear, cleats, mouthpiece, and if new to the program, uniform. Players may also apply for scholarship assistance.

Is Lacrosse a contact sport?

Body checking is allowed at the High School level. Links to lacrosse rules may be found on the team app.

What are the participation requirements?

Practice days vary from 1-4 days per week. Practice times typically run from 6-8pm. Players are expected to attend all scheduled practices. If you need to miss a practice, you must communicate this to your coach at least 48 hours prior to practice.

Games during the spring can occur every weekend beginning February. Expect to play at least one if not two games per weekend for the duration of the lacrosse season. Tournaments can include up to 6 games. Games may be as early as 8am and as late as 5pm. Players are expected to attend all scheduled games.

What are the parent obligations and how can I help?

We need volunteers. Parents are required to be involved in whatever way they can. Parent volunteer time averages around 10 hours for the season. Some examples of parent volunteer jobs are coaching, team coordinator, field maintenance, game set up and take down, score keeping, special events, player’s snacks/drinks, etc.

Can my player participate on the Fayetteville Lacrosse Club team?

Fayetteville Lacrosse Club welcomes players living in Fayetteville. Players living in surrounding areas are welcome, contact fayarlax@gmail.com for details. Returning players will be given priority registration above new registrants.

Fayetteville Lacrosse Club is a non-profit, volunteer, athletic organization dedicated to teach, grow and honor the sport of Lacrosse.  We strive to enhance and improve participating players’ skills and foster an environment of sportsmanship and teamwork while providing a fun, positive and enriching experience for players while representing Fayetteville, Arkansas as a club sport.
